My son received the Fr. Mark priest doll for his birthday and he ADORES it! All the cute little vestments and book that describes their meanings came just as described! He plays Mass with his St. Joseph and Baby Jesus and his little brother’s St. Frassati!
It is a great visual way to teach my kindergarten students about what the vestiments of our Priest. The students loved it and named him after our Father.
Awe!
Father Mark is an action figure for Almighty God!
For Advent, I bought 2!
It’s edifying to support a company that holds our priests in glorious esteem!
It’s worth the priceless message that every time we see a priest in the one holy Catholic apostolic Church through ordinary means - that Roman collar signifies that we are no longer given and taken in marriage when we are in heaven-with God’s grace!
Saint Nicholas, pray for us in particular who have no idea that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
First Saturday December 6, 2025!
Absolutely adorable little doll and my kids love him! The book is very informative but keeps it at a level littles can still understand! Only complaint would be that all the vestments were very wrinkly and we had to press them. But that a super easy fix!
I must say Shining Light Dolls are so cool! Every Catechist should order a set of all, which will help in teaching of our Catholic faith. Right On! SLD.....
Wonderful doll, great learning tool for kids and young boys learning about the life of a priest! My only reason for not giving all five stars is that the vestments don't also come in rose and black! We plan to dress the priest in the liturgical colour for every day of the year, and it would be more complete with those two liturgical colours as well. :)
We love the priest rag doll sets from Shining Lights Dolls. They have provided great pretend play: Mass and Confession for the other buddies! The vestments will need ironing.
There are some flaws. Garments came with a hole were the material was not caught in the seam. I knotted the cincture/belt to stop fraying on the unfinished ends.
I hope these quality issues are addressed. Overall the detail work is beautiful and the kids love their dolls.
We have named our priest Fr. Mike in honor of Fr. Mike Schmitz. My boys are very caring with Fr. Mike, they love having him in the house and looking at the different colors of the liturgical seasons in his garments. Our Priest blessed Father Mike last Sunday after mass. My boy was very excited to have him as his car seat companion. Ps: I just wished the rose chasuble and stole would have come as well. To share the joy of the Lautare and Gaudate Sundays. Please please make them available!
I put the vestments on the priest and it looked realistic. I plan to use this as a teaching tool for my first grade religious education students. I think it helps to reinforce the lesson when they have hands on activities to do. The only drawback I had was the alb was difficult to get over his head.
The vestments for him came all crumbled up. I was hoping that they would have been placed neatly in the bag but for whatever reason they were stuff in there. I still can’t get the wrinkles out. The belt is also very flimsy. It looks like a string of yarn that you would use for hair. We only used the belt once because it fell off and we lost it. So now the vestments don’t stay attached perfectly.
Awesome doll and vestment set. My son also likes to hold the vestments up to his chest and say “look, I’m a priest!.” The vestments and storage bag did arrive extremely wrinkled, but nothing an iron couldn’t fix.
MY SPECIAL NEEDS NEPHEW WAS SO EXCITED JOYFUL AND ELATED WHEN HE OPENED HIS PACKAGE AND SAW THE PRECIOUS PRIEST!!!! I WAS OVER THE TOP. EVERY DEVOUT CATHOLIC SHOULD ORDER THIS ITEM. YOU WILL ALSO GET THE ROBES FOR ALL THE DIFFERENT SEASONS OR SERVICES! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR LIGHTING UP MARKY’S BRIGHT LIGHT!!!! I SSSSOOOOO HIGHLY RECOMMEND SELLER AND THIS ITEM!!!!!
I first ordered Fr Paul for my grand daughter, our first cradle Anglican, as a gift for Easter. But after I saw a brown priest, Fr Mark, I ordered him instead. I want her to understand diversity. Both dolls are great quality and the vestments are exactly as they should be. My favorite part is the cincture. Since my grand daughter doesn’t need dolls, I’ll be donating Fr Paul to our Catechesis of the Great Shepherd program.
The doll is cute and my son likes it. Was disappointed they don't include the rose vestments as well. Also, the fact that shipping is $35 to Canada is extremely steep to ship one doll and the shipping took a long time, not even priority. I know many brands that are able to ship for much cheaper. While I love many of their products I can't justify spending that much on shipping anymore.
This is a quality product! The pieces are well made and beautiful. My three year old was immediately drawn to it and began asking questions about the different colors, “Why is it white at Christmas?” A perfect gift to introduce theological interest through play.
The children really enjoyed seeing the vestments up close. I just wish the Alb had a slightly larger opening. Poor Father Mark had a squished head putting it on. It made us all happy and educated. Thank you. PS. The smile on the doll is contagious.
I'm looking forward to giving these to my beautiful twin granddaughters for Christmas. I wish these wonderful toys were available when my children were little.
