Die heilige Therese von Lisieux, liebevoll „die kleine Blume“ genannt, ist die Autorin der berühmten „Geschichte einer Seele“. Die heilige Therese wird mit dem Titel Kirchenlehrerin geehrt, für ihr theologisches Verständnis des „kleinen Weges“ – dass Gott keine großen und heroischen Taten von uns verlangt, um in den Himmel zu gelangen. Wir müssen einfach Jesus vertrauen und jede Aufgabe, die Gott uns stellt, mit großer Liebe erledigen, egal wie klein sie auch sein mag.

Sie trägt die traditionelle Karmelitertracht, die sie zu ihrer Zeit trug. Der äußere Umhang ist abnehmbar (mit Klettverschluss). Der Rosenstrauß mit Kreuz (traditionelle Symbole der Heiligen Therese) hat zwei elastische Bänder, die über die Handgelenke der Puppe gestreift werden können, damit sie den Strauß halten kann. Jede Puppe ist handgenäht und mit schönen Stickereien versehen.

Die Puppe ist 12 Zoll groß. Besatz aus Baumwolle und Satin, komplett neue Polyesterfüllung.

While I loved how darling this rag doll was/is (gift for a Godchild) I was disappointed by the way it arrived. Poor St Therese was folded in half, wrinkled and stuffed in a small box. I had to carefully iron each part of her clothing as best I could so I wouldn’t be giving a little girl a less than desirable gift. It would’ve been nice if she has been lovingly wrapped…after all she is representing a saint!
